Bonhams to shine at Bund Classic with a spectacular Autumn Auctions Preview (Hong Kong)
Bund Classic, China’s first classic car showcase to take place in Shanghai on October 16th to 18th2015, is the ideal platform to display highlights of Bonhams forthcoming auctions.
Shanghai 3 August 2015 – China Rendez-Vous is delighted to announce that Bonhams, one of the leading international auction houses in the world, founded in 1793, will be previewing some of the highlight items from its upcoming Hong Kong Autumn auctions during this year’s Bund Classic.
A loyal partner of Bund Classic since its first edition, Bonhams is expanding its collaboration for the 2015 edition, and will be showcasing close to 300 pieces of fine Jewelery, Watches, Chinese Paintings and Works of Art, rare Wines and Whiskeys, and Asian Contemporary Art during the three-day event.
Over 4,000 local and international collectors and traditional Bonhams guests are expected at the event for this unique opportunity. They will join the thousands of classic car collectors and aficionados gathering for the three days of celebration of motoring heritage, culture and elegance.
World-renowned Arts specialists from Bonhams will also participate in an exclusive Forum on Alternative Investments, presenting both the current trends in the Asian arts scene, the value of investing in collectibles and why passion investments are becoming an increasingly important investment segment.
The Bonhams motoring division is led by James Knight, a world-recognized expert, who has over 31 years experience of the Collectors’ Motor Car industry. Bonhams has been a key partner of Bund Classic for the past three years and has assisted it to grow and develop. Last year, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta became the most valuable car in history to be sold at auction when it realised US$38,115,000 at the Bonhams' Quail Lodge Auction in Carmel, California.
